18RG rebuild

I am wondering if anyone has done a 18RG rebuild recently. I am wondering about the overall cost for the parts (barings, gaskets, seals) since we are going to be doing the work ourselves.
Thanks.

depending on the engineering shop where u get your gasket kit, they can charge u up to $300 for a kit, or as low as $170
bearings
main: $50
bigend: $50
rings: $50
machining
depends on what u need, if u need just a hone, then just the cost of a hone down at autobarn
full recondition of the head including setting the shims is about $400-500
if u need pistons then u r up for a bit, cause u cant get them new off the shelf, u r best getting a set of hi-comp ones off the for sale section here,
anything more, just ask

Thanks mate. See how it goes on the rebuild since at the moment im not to sure what is excactly wrong with it. A couple of the cyclinders are just giving zero compression so we beleave it is a head gasket or piston rings.

new sparkies..they were surposed to be like 27 each but i got cheap 4 dollar ones
