16"x7" Hyperfang style rims for sale *cheap* $330

EDIT: I should add - that the wheels are 4x100 and 4x114.3 - common as dog balls on new FWDs, but useless to me. I'll learn to take a tape measure next time..
Original Post:
Picked these up yesterday, but they dont fit my car i discover today, wrong offset (s1 rx7). Here's the quote from the original seller:
Quote: | Set of 4 16"x7" multistud Hyperfang-style rims to suit most 4-stud cars. They have both 4x110 & 4x114.3 PCD's,
which makes them good for most early mazdas, up to S3 RX7s & HB 929's. Also fits late model 4-stud jap cars.
Comes with 2 brand new unused and 1 used (50% tread) 205/50/R16 tyre(s).
Wheels are all good and not damaged, except for some minor scratches (gutter scrapes).
Each pair differ slightly in style, but work well together.
|
The offset doesn't suit my s1 rx7 - on the front, it touches the spring. It may well work on the back, but i'm not interested in having half half look
Sale this weekend preferred, i have uni during the week. I am located near Penrith - meetup in the area is fine.
To clarify the tyre situation - comes with 2 new unused tyres (not on the wheels) - one tyre with *some* tread but not alot (not on the wheels) - and one BALD tyre, on a wheel. So you will need 2 tyres, i was going to get some seconhand ones for $40 inc balance and fitting.
Also to clarify for those who skim read - yes, they are 2 pairs of different wheels. But as you can see, they're close enough in style for it to not be an issue, particularly for the price.
Its up to you to ensure that the stud pattern is correct for your car, and regarding the offset, i think they were going fine on cars that needed +40 and +45, but i really don't know. If they don't fit your car, its not my responsibility, just as its mine now to sell them as they dont fit MY car.
Thanks,
Bardin.

Bump.. Not having alot of luck with sale. Price is now $330 firm.
I guess i'll see if anything can be done with spacers - will any old store sell me such bits, or would it have to be a dodgy bros type store, given they're not legal?

go to neal's wheels - he can make you up some fitted spacer plates (not the dodgy universal ones) which will be better than standard spacer plates, or you can get him to weld a spacer plate to the wheel, which is then *i think* legal. Depending on your current offset, you may also need the studs on your wheel hubs lengthened

Don't supose you are interested in selling the 2 good tyers? if not, where were you going to get the second hand $40 ones from?
i'm desperately after 2 decent 205/45/16 or 205/50/16's as one of my tyers was slashed about a week ago and i can't afford $300 for 2 new tyers at the moment.

ummm, you do realise that the stud pattern on your s1 rx7 would be 4x110??
So if these are 4x100 and 4x114.3 they wont fit on your car at all, no matter what the offset.
In general these rims have an offset of +40.
cheers

Yes, thats why i'm selling them. Otherwise i would be using spacers. I'm not sure i updated this thread properly - i have it on other forums.
rx2-7 is +20 offset and 4x110. Yes, i realise that.

This link may be useful to all of you, it lists stud patterns and offsets for various cars. I've got it set to go to the toyota bit, but its got most other cars on there as well.

Seems a little wrong to me. Celica says 5x100 whereas the older models are 4 stud

Hmm, evidently not accounting for anything older than the late 80sish ones, they should have a year listed like the rest do. Nonetheless, its a page i have found useful.
To the bloke (Dennis was it, if i remember correctly? Sorry if i'm wrong ) who called me today - sorry about cutting you off there, the battery on my mobile ran flat. I'll take some extra pics for you tomorrow. If that page i linked there is correct, these wheels should fit an ae82. The stud pattern would certainly be one of them, its only a question of offset. But given that nearly all FWD cars from 80s on are this pattern and offset, an educated guess should say they'll be fine. Might need smaller tyres however.
Once you sign up, send me a pm mate

Gday,
lol i just tried to call the number you called me from Dennis, sorry if i got you busted with a personal call, it was an office, and i couldn't get through because there was two Dennis' there, and i have no idea what your surname is
On the other hand, i might have the wrong name, haha. Anyhow, i've got those pics. Give me a call on my mobile, 0415 660 164. If you don't get through, then don't leave a message - i have no credit to retrieve it with.
If anyone else wants the extra pics i now have, then just ask and i'll email them. In fairly small size they come to about 1mb, can give you them in 1024x768 as well, coming to about 4mb - i'm on ADSL, so i don't mind.
Thanks, bump.

+40 Thats a big off set for 7" rims, im thinking that some very big spacers and stud lenghtening will be needed for rwd cars.
