Bubbles forget about the work to the 4ac, go grab a 4age and put it in then start to think about ecu for it.

DON'T BOTHER!!!!
The amount of effort you are gonna be putting in you are going to get something worse than the 4age and spent alot more than an initially setup 4age.
Then start playing with the 4age and start getting something better from an initially better setup.

bubbles...just buy a 4age. You'll save twice the money you'd end up spending trying to sort out the 4ac
a stock 4age would make more power than Quote: | 4ac with shaved head, a bit of head work, webbers and better pistons running on 98unleaded.
| & the ge is already efi

Correct me if I am wrong
But 4ac = timing chain
4age = timing belt
I know this is the case with a lot a toyota engines, but not sure about this one

no they both run timing belts.
You can do what you are saying but no real point. Basically all you will be using in the end is the 4ac block, I know people who have done this but the only reason was to keep the engine number the same.
Personally I you are going to do a rebuild and lots of work etc. I would go find a blown 4age as they go for really cheap and then rebuild and do your work to that.

4ac->GE... you'll need pistons to suit 16V, New belt, new lower sprocket from GE, oil pump, alt brackets, water pump.... etc,etc,etc.... Just buy a GE and you get all this FREE!!!... but I know you want more... for $600 we will incl a standard ECU, that's right, a Standard ECU (that could be sold)..... Get the rift?
