My GFs AE92 corolla has a bit of a strange smell in it. After you clean it, it goes away but it comes back shortly after. Is there a filter that can be changed easily to filter air coming in to cabin?

She reckons the smell comes after the cars been in the sun for a while but I'm not too sure. Anybody else had similar prob that they've fixed. Sorry not real "techy" question Embarassed

We gave it a good clean with interior cleaner, amorall etc when she got it and sprayed some deoderiser around.

After locating and fixing cause of smell, ie, blocked A/C drain, or collection of leaves in the air plenum in front of the windscreen:

1. Buy a can of Glen 20 disinfectant,

2. Start engine and turn interior fan on to max fresh,

3. Spray disinfectant into the air plenum in front of the winscreen.

This has worked well for me in the past, but you must find and fix the cause of the odour first.

regards Chuck.

Thanks guys, is the A/c drain the one that lets the water out through hose near firewell. I'll have a look soon. Glen 20 will be a goer! Smile
