Thanks mate, it still has a lot of work do to. The top picture was taken before it was lowered. It's all time and money. I'd like to get it out on the track!

Unfortunately it has overheating problems at the moment in very hot weather. I think I'll have to look into a thicker aluminum racing radiator.

I have found some JZA70 front calipers from a friend and will be eventually buying some DBA MA70 slotted front rotors along with it. However, some 16" or 17" wheels will have to be found to clear the larger disc's.
|
You should only need 16's, as that is what the std MA70's are so they should fit.
Arn't the JZA70 calipers the same as MA70's ?
Cheers

Yes you are right bbaacchhyy, but If I can find 17" standard JZA80 wheels they will look a lot better, fill the arch of the wheel space and be pimpen! However, 16" will do as they are hard to find. They will also raise the car slightly higher which I want.
There are variations of sizes of MA70 rotors and possibly calipers. One variation is the same as the JZA70. I am actually getting them from a JZA70 though (thanks Caelum).

How will 16" wheels raise the car? The overall diameter should be the same mate.

HKS_TRD: Thanks mate, who are you, and what do you drive?
I work Friday and Saturday nights, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it. I'd like to though.
The car seems to be running very well since I put my undertray back on and had the oil cooler installed.
The only other thing I've noticed is that the power steering is making hellish noises, clunking and cracking sounds on full lock at low speed.
I'm dying to get my intercooler and brakes on with bigger wheels though. Has anyone got any Supra or Soarer 16" wheels for sale?

That is one staunch 7M Dan. I thought it would be up around the 300kw mark with those mods? Very nice! What does your car weigh? Would be good to go on a cruise with you.

Nah actually it was just a good power tune by Tim Possingham. He really does know his MicroTech's.
I put the Hiperboost controller on afterwards, so imagine how it goes now.

The JZA70 Torsen LSD is now in courtesy of Boss Racing Differentials: 8387 0178.
After taking out the diff myself, I had to get Steve at Japanese Motorsport to put the new one in. I ended up dropping all 50kgs of the thing on my hand in the process.
The car now handles a lot better. I've also purchased a set of Cusco fully adjustable coilovers which will go in soon.
