cutting down diff cost?

just after an approximate cost for cutting down a diff to suit a smaller car. For example cutting down a hilux diff to suit a ke20/30?

i think he woulda just meant that's how much it cost him in brisbane, and suggesting that it would probably be there same anywhere ifyou found the right shop

Yep about $800 as accurate guess, this does not include rebuilding anything, simply the fabrication work to be able to install the new diff and roll on it. Reconditioning costs would add more to the price, and would depend on the diff as to final price (some wheel bearings are horrendously expensive!).

Meh, i was quoted at one time about 600-800 depends on how many brackets were welded on here in melb. That is ofcourse if you supply the diffs.

Yeah when i inquiered for a quote that included shortening of the diff axels, heat treating axels, resplining axels, and welding all the brackets on. You will have to budget for tailshaft mods and, think about wat you will do with your rear brakes though.
