i think we're grown-up enough to see past the un-pleasant connotations of the net nazi's account name. that account's apparent purpose is to end discussions that have gone beyonds the bounds of the forum's rules - to read anything else into that is probably verging on 'looney conspiracy theory' stuff. the fact that we (60 years on) also continue to remind ourselves of the horrific brutality associated with that name is a good thing. i'm glad that we (all i hope) take some manner of offence to the title because it proves we havn't forgetten how poorly we humans can behave. I really dont see why the Jewish members should be offended though. The word "Nazi" does not mean what it used to any more. It has come to mean something more like being a tight-arse or something like that. Or someone who wont accept bull from anyone. I dont mean to say that it isn't dodgy, and that it should remind us never to be like that again, but surely a word evolves over 50 years and no longer means what it used to. By the same token of this nazi call offending jews, could we not also say that the name "Christian" would offend Arabs and africans, "Australian" offends aborigines, "roman" offends germans, etc etc etc Its political correctness taken to a level of complete bullshit.
