Sigs on forums

What should be the maximum length for a sig?[ 49 vote(s) ]
1.	Less than 3 lines	16 / 33%
2.	Less than 5 lines	20 / 41%
3.	Less than 7 lines	7 / 14%
4.	Less than 10 lines	2 / 4%
5.	There should be no limit	4 / 8%

Just reading through some of the links that have popped up regarding Justen's GT-Four, I was reminded of how glad I am that I have the power to turn of graphics in sigs!
Holy crap some of those forums are hard to read. You spend more time trying to find the actual content than reading it!

Even some sigs here have annoyed me with their length, and I'd actually like to decree that sigs have to be less than a certain length.

Some of you may not notice how big your sigs are, but do a count and then compare it to every post you make. If your sig takes more lines than your posts, you should be ashamed! Smile

What do you guys think? Just fishing for thoughts right now.

I agree there are some Looooonnnggg sigs out there. Three lines may not always be enough for me. but 5 lines covers most little bits I want in there. Any more than that or sigs with spaces between each line start to get a little long... i try to keep my sig short and sweet but yes there are some forums that have huge arse pics and it takes twice as long to loud because of it [Report message to a moderator]

i voted 5, i only use one, but i think that the people who want to list the cars they own and the mods they have done should be allowed to. Its good to get an idea of what everyone owns. any more and it clutters it up too much [Report message to a moderator]

some sigs are actually pretty funny. I've seen some way hilarious sigs on here. Some sigs also tell a little bit about the user but then again useless long ones suck!!!!! so i voted 5. oh and some sigs help out others....... like mine!!!!!!!! [Report message to a moderator]

MY GAWD those sigs are long on that link you posted Thank god Toymods doesnt let ppl use pictures This is one guys signature. Now, my resolution is at 1280x960 so I can normally get 5 or 6 posts on one screen. I'll second that. Although, I really cbf adding my name in there, my car's hardly worth a mention, as such its got no mods, so I think I'll use the 5-7 lines for anything I choose Wink

Actually, sigs don't seem to be a problem here. Avatars are. Take yours for instance Nark. Because of your avatar, you have all that white space below your sig. Like enough to fit a 10 line sig at least. Mind I'm running 800x600 res so it might be different to those that like to squint at high res/low refresh rate screens. [Report message to a moderator]

yep, umder 10, unless its warranted. Uselss crap like listing every mod you've done is just ghey, i would have problems fitting the list of mods to the rolla on 20 lines even if i only left a space between each one. yeah i saw a newcomer with a bit of an excessive sig a couple days ago, listed his car, his parts cars, his family's cars, and his mates cars!!! also very glad that avatars must be approved/appropriate, some shit on the rice forums........ i mean i'm all for tits but even i think there's a point where it's a bit excessive (even tho the guys with the naked avatar/sigs probably look like comic book guy) [Report message to a moderator]
