Looks like a nice one. Smile

Hurry with the pics please.
Does it have a L.S.D ?
Is the suspension standard ?
Did you just bring it into the country or have you had it a while?

Best regards Superaw11. Smile

Hi guys.

Regarding Prestige Motorsport - Yep, this is the car.

It arrives in a little over a week. Once is arrives I had planned to use it as my daily driver however my requirements have changed.

The car will be fully engineered, with 12 months registration, and the condition notes mentioned in the message about will also be covered.

The small rear section of side skirt on the passenger side has already been ordered, and the car will have the small dent in the front quarter removed on arrival.

I may still keep the car if a suitable buyer doesnt come up.

Cheers

Nick

Faulksky.

Fair question.

For starters I was lucky enough to pick this car up for a great price. Most people here know what these cars are worth in good condition second hand. Normally you would need around 8k shipped for the same vehicle.

The car actually came to around $5k shipped. Following that you have $1200 for engineering & compliance, I am assuming close to $1000 for rego/CTP, detailing and cleanup work im doing prior to sale including the repalcement of a small peice of side skirt, removal of the small ding etc.

Dont forget to factor in the 2 + months of stuffing around I have endured to get the car here

I am happy to confirm costs to those interested, there are no secrets in the sale of this car which I am still contemplating keeping for myself.

That said, im not about to sell the car for less than its worth, purchase costs aside.

Happy to answer any other questions that you guys might have.

Cheers

Nick

xfader: If you are interested, I can get some decent pics to you after it arrives. The price as mentioned is negotiable.

Im looking for a straight sale rather than trade as my Skyline is crying for more power.

doesnt an 86 car come under the 15yr old import rule ? Do you still need compliancing for this car ??

I just thought you import it, pay ur taxes and licence the car ? Unless there's mechanical work to be done?

can someone confirm this ?

Re: FS: AW11 MR2 Supercharged *Pic Attached* Fri, 23 April 2004 05:08 Go to previous messageGo to next message
GTStar: There is still "compliance" work required to 15 year old vehicles to ensure that they meet the requirements in your state ie ADR's. Cars brought in under the 15 year rule are cheaper to get on the road as its generally minor items that you need to change such as fitting side intrusion bars, changing the fuel filler neck, changing the drivers mirror from convex to flat etc.

The cars must have this compliance work done to be engineered and engineers papers are needed for rego.

Still a bit of messing around, but the expense isnt as great as a car bought in under SEVS.

Hope this helps.

PS: The car arrives mid next week and will be ready for viewing by any interested parties.

The car has arrived now so inspections can be arranged for any interested parties.

The price is negotiable so sensible offers are welcomed.

domasik: Thank you.

Clown: Seing as its obvious you dont know alot about the value of these cars here let alone what they cost to bring in from Japan I think you should refrain from acting like your nickname implies and stop trying to tarnish my thread.

Its pretty simple really - judging by the number of enquiries and calls I have received, its clear most people do understand the value of the cars and see that my asking price is reasonable while also remaining negotiable.

Cheers

I cannot see many cheaper factory supercharged MR2'S for sale anywhere which are registered and ready to drive.

Maybe you need somebody to make a cartoon featuring an aw11 MR2 which whips every possible street racing car including nissan skyline GTR's etc Laughing before you can get people interested in a superior sports car. Smile

My advice is to hang on to it as it will not be too long before these cars are to become a classic collectable.
Mid engined sports cars with better than ferrari handling are not easy to find for under 10k as far as i know??? Cool

Not trying to sound upmyself but....... considering I own a mint Aw11, and having been looking into them for years, I do indeed know the value of them!! I wasn't goin to say this but considering you started it.... The vic guys know my car and how much i paid for it, i'd be pissed if I paid your asking price when for a little more you could get one like mine.......! As i said if yours is worth 9k, mines worth approx 14k Wink

As for the cartoon, its called over rev!! http://www.mangacity.net

why is yours worth 14k clown?

Its yellow, got a GZE in it and a 175 mm Pulley. There are quite a few getting around now due to 15 yr rule. I dont understand.

Id rather not say how cheaply I got my AW11 gze import on the road for.

Clown: I think its high time you shut your trap.

If you dont like my asking price, dont post. Its really that simple. Considering you have no interest in this car then who the hell are you to come on here and attempt to scare off any potential buyers?

Theres quiet a few more mods then that, and the condition of the car aswell. My point is that if you look around you can find examples like mine in the 9-11k region! No need to get shitty Laughing

Personally I prefer my Aw11 MR2's in original colour and condition,as do most collectors and car appreciator's.
The AW11 SC was not available in yellow as a factory colour which would personally put me off as I prefer factory original well kept cars, but each to their own hey?
I would think that a future classic like the AW11 in factory standard condition will eventually be more valuable than a car which has been modified and re-painted in a non factory colour to a true lover of the marque.
Where can you buy an Australian registered Supercharged AW11 with 12months rego for 7K in any condition let alone a decent original car such as the one for sale here???
If you would really sell it for $7k I will buy it even though i already own 2 of these.

Best regards Superaw11. Smile

If any genuinely interested buyers wish to make me an offer in that region of $8-8.5k then the offer will be seriously considered.
