4a-ge RWD in a 1990 Geo Prizm LSi???

Hi, I'm new to the car scene and I would like to know if it is possible to convert a 1990 Geo Prizm FWD to RWD or possibly AWD using parts from an AE92 or AE86 Corolla... Right now, the car has a 4A-FE engine and I'd like to swap in a 4a-ge blacktop. In the USA, it is very difficult to find this block and I was wondering if it was possible to find over here and if this has been attempted before successfully.

Why not get the FWD version of the 4AGE (or s/charge it and make is a 4AGZE) becuase what you essentially have is a rebadged Corolla, if I am not mistaken (thats what they are now, I dont know if that was the case 14 years ago). It really wouldnt be worth converting to RWD when there is a suitable replacement engine in FWD platform.
