hey all,
i was wondering how much my crown in tare weight would weight? in kerb weight it is 1403 kg but i wanna know wot it is in tare weight any help would be appreciated

Hey,
Me being me i come up with some weird probaly stupid idea's lol. I would over to your local tip and pretend to do an enquiry on how much its costs to take something o rather there lol. In the meantime finding the weight
Like i mean heck its not as if you there daily.

hey thanks for that, yeah but when u take it too a tip i dont know whether its tare or kerb weight i need tare weight.

Id say Tare because you park your car on it. The scales there are designed to measure tare not kerb.

ah ok well i might get around to it but is there any way of doing a mathematics cacalation to change it from kerb to tare.

There is to some degree but i cant remember it. I wouldnt be far of saying you car would weigh around 980Kg Tare.

my 240C is lighter than any toyota luxury sedan of the period at 1321kg TARE.

lol, sorry hehe. Me thought wagon was heavier than seden. My wagon weighs 945Kg. Then again if your smart not to say i am whats wrong with looking at rego papers.
Not everything i say is corect and i admit i am wrong here lol.

hey all
thanks for helping me. but i need to know exactly wot it is in tare weight, so i know how much to pay the rta when i get a blue slip. anyways is there any difference between tare and kerb, i though maybe kerb was with the engine and tare was without.

Kerb weight is fully assembled and weighed dry.

Dude,
As previously mentioned your tare weight is listed on your rego papers. HOWEVER. Your blue slip price does not vary onthe weight of your car. It is a flat rate inspection depending on vehicle type (ie Car , trailor, bike etc) Your Rego is weight effected.
You can ring the RTA tech department and they can tell you what they regard as your Tare weight.
