ST184 - catalitic converter

Is my 1990 model ST184 ment to have a catalitic convertor - because my extractors are second hand I have had to fit them myself (well bubs and my dad ). But under my celica i only has a muffler and a resinator - definatly no cat.
The 162 (i assume they kept it the same) has the cat directly under the exhaust manifold. So if you've got aftermarket extractors chances are there is no cat anymore. Be careful, its a $10grand fine if you get caught.
