Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend by the name of Common
Sense who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how
old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic
red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as
knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the
worm, and that life isn't always fair.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend
more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not kids,
are in charge).

Rolling Eyes

His health began to deteriorate when well intentioned but overbearing
regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged
with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate, teens suspended from
school for using mouthwash after lunch, and a teacher fired for
reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental
consent to administer aspirin to a student, but could not inform the
parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Finally, Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments
became contraband, churches became businesses, and criminals received
better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense finally gave up the ghost after a woman failed to realize
that a steaming cup of coffee was hot, spilled a bit in her lap, and was
awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Honesty and Trust,
his wife, Discretion, his daughter, Responsibility, and his son,
Reason.

He is survived by two stepbrothers: My Rights and Ima Whiner. Not many
attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

If you still know him pass this on. If not, join the majority and do
nothing.

AMEN!!! How very true.

Some of the things that happen in society and are looked over or not allowed really disgust me.

Like those parents who went to jail for smacking their kid. Sad

RIP

Shocked I really liked that Very Happy

When will society wake up and see that we are all f**ked up???

Why we don't is because people get scared and join together
to look for that false sense of security and where there is a
crowd there is stupidity Sad .....

stay away fron crowds and make your own choices and maybe things will slowly change..... Smile
It all starts at the home and yourself....peace bro Very Happy Laughing

What we need is a 'dickhead clause' in legislation/business.

Basically it states, if you are, or are being, a dickhead, you are not entitled to compensation etc.

If you try to do 100km/hr around a corner in a company car and crash it - you are not entitled to compensation just because it was a company car. If you dive headfirst into a shallow creek and injure your neck - you cannot sue the council just because it is under their jurisdiction. If I fall out of a tree in the national park - I cannot sue National Parks because it was their tree etc etc

We are regularly bombarded with examples of people being complete idiots, then successfully suing someone, or some company for it.

Wait till the day a judge throws a case out of court, claiming parapraph 4 of teh 'Dickhead Clause'

Hear hear! I second that motion. People will find any excuse to sue. Australia is the highest suing country in the world. Ridiculous really.

It is? I thought that was America?

I had a friend who used to work for a company that rented out chainsaws and similar dangerous equipment. They didn't bother with a disclaimer or making the people who hire out the equipment sign a waver 'cuz if they did it was admission that the products they where offering where dangerous! I mean really! COME ON! It's a fucking CHAINSAW! If you put it against your arm while it's on your ARM WILL FALL OFF! What the hell do you think is gonna happen?
