Carlton Draft Ads Fri, 21 May 2004 00:43 Go to next message
I just wanted to know who else though the new Carlton Draft TV Ads were a crack up.

I have a good laugh every time they come on and Kirsty just looks at me like I'm some kind or mental case.

Is it just me or perhaps a bloke thing ?? (The canoe one is the best)

they're the best adds going

the first one was good - attractive yeast and all - the canoe one just rocks.

yep - I was trying to explain the transported by horses - more horses.

I think women just don't get it - or the adds for that matter.

poured into icy sideways glasses........,

possibly the stupidest thing ad-wise i have ever seen was one of those "brand power" adds, you know the ones..anyway this one was for a new rexona deodorant, about the only thing they could come up with as to why this new product was better than all the others was...

"new larger ball for less time consuming strokes"........

hillarious on sooooo many levels....

How can you not get it ??

They are just soooo funny. These ads do to TV comnmercials what Hot shots did to movies ! Yeah sure they are a bit on the silly side but I'd rather watch them than any other ad on Tv and for that matter most of the Shows !

They take the piss out of every other beer ad on the market and no matter how many times i see it i always have a chuckle.

Carlton had a stunt in the city the other day - Martin Place I think - 40 buff ( solo men ) corporate types in suits - with canoes.

sitting in them, carrying them around...

Laughed so hard i nearly cried.

I work in Martin Place and almost pissed myself the other day when I was walking to work and saw what Special Ed was talking about..... MArtin PL was FULL of really serious looking businessmen with their canoes. There was one sitting in his canoe, halfway down a staircase, and had obviously had to stop paddling to take a phone call during which he seemed to be completing the biggest acquisition of the century. I had the hugest smile on my face when I walked into work that morning. Those ads are absolute GOLD. "Made from.... Beer..."

I love it when the dude is driving out of the carpark in his Porsche with the top down and his canoe sticking out the back and it gets demolished by the pole.

Heard the VB ads on teh radio? "beer tastes better from your favourite stubbie holder, which a mate got on a golf trip to Deniliquin, and left it at your place after a Barbie-Q."

"You've never even been to Deniliquin, but it's still your favourite stubbie holder."
