cat back exhaust Thu, 27 May 2004 07:32 Go to next message
hey there people.

what kind of cat back exhaust system do you think i should get for my 97 celica sx, that gets the best sound out of my car, and also a bit of peformance, without souding all gay and hollow?

also, does anyone know a good reliable place in sydney, north shore, that will install a full cat back exhaust system installed?

SEARCH baby ! We talked about exhausts not so long ago. Surf to the AutoSpeed web site (on-line modded cars magazine) and read the free three part series of articles on mufflers.

I got .6 fwkw from my cat-back. (difference between winter and summer dyno day too) so in reality, maybe 2 fwkw???

Dude, if you are gonna spend money, at least whack a high-flow cat on there Smile if not extractors.

otherwise it is mainly noise dude

cat backs are good for noise - performance gains are minimal.
and if you want the noise, why not just change mufflers? much cheaper, same effect.
if you want performance, extractors and a high-flow cat are the way to go (in terms of exhaust mods)
