I just bought a car today. Great, I thought! Cheap and with long rego, I thought it was a good deal.
Drive it around for a little while, put in a full tank of fuel at 99.9c which was almost $60...2 hours later the crank angle sensor has shit itself, and needs replacing.
Bad luck or what?
I also had some bloke offer me $400 more than I payed for it less than an hour after I picked it up! Needless to say it wasn't a Toyota, just needed something to drive...the irony!

well when i bought my sprinter it broke down just an hour after purchase.
luckily it was only the bolt that holds the alternator in the adjusting bracket, it had sheared off. so another bolt was found, and we were able to finish our journey that night (melbourne to adelaide) lucky it didnt happen in the middle of no-where hey!?

bad luck dude. that sucks.
Similar story that happened to me, bought a 1998 holden barina gsi import, driving it home just after i made the purchase and the back wheel bearing decides to give way causing the whole rear left wheel to come off ripping the standard bodykit apart and smacking the passenger door leaving a big gay dent. Car got repaired driving it 2 days after i got it back the dashboard catches on fire from some shit wiring job that the old owner had done. got the car back 1 week later the motor gives up..... the car was more off the road then on.

I can ace you all - 16Kms! That all I got out of a AE86 before the motor packed it in and gave a gudgeon pin up for offer! Fortunately, I only bought the car for parts so it didn't bother me!

bought my SW20 today, drove it all afternoon, loving it to bits. went to my work at midnight to show it off to a dude who bought an RX7 Turbo last week, took him for a spin, nothing too bad, just down the local highway. Hit a cat at 140km/h, front end survived allright, but AC radiator is bent up and all the brackets under the front end are farked. After i got everything that was dragging under the car out from under it, i went back to see what i had hit, turns out it was my parents' neighbours cat, the same neighbour i was showing the car off to about 6 hours prior to this happening. Just goes to show, shit happens. Oh if any one knows a good place to take my MR2 to get all that stuff fixed in canberra, can you please let me know ta.

My only one like that was when i bought my sprinter i got to a servo to get an Adelaide UBD and some V and came back out to find the battery already dead (knew battery was dying). Had to get the old owner to come and jump start me on his way to work.
