k, i'lll join the lot.
My corolla with a 4kc moter,
1st - 30km/h
2nd - 65Km/h
Dont know the rest as u can get far unreg with no tailgate ona wagon lol.
Old man's commie VL, ( inline ). All stock.
1st - 60Km/h @ 4800Rpm
2nd - 110Km/h @ 4600Rpm
3rd - 145Km/h @ 5300Rpm
4th - 180Km/h @ 5200Rpm
5th * havent even tried* Thats the VL witha 5 speed manual T5 box.

ozzie ur temp guage isnt working!  
i got my sprinter to 190-195 the other day, i didnt even realise that much, i was winding out fourth on the freeway, as i changed into 5th i looked down and speedo was topped out haha
was very smooth, felt like i coulda hit 230km/h..
btw whats the top speed anyone else has got with 4age/5spd before?

Temp guage has never worked. I just flick on the heater to know when the engine is warm.  I think it topped out at around 210. Had maybe 500-800rpm to go, but wasn't into pushing my luck that much. I don't reckon the tyres are rates for it.

i was up at mount lofty, and then i came down the freeway, u know that part. going downhill towards the city i wound it out a bit (4th) then a wall was coming at 190kms so i slowed

down the great ocean road, st162 3sge 103kw 4spd auto, we were doing about 180 in 3rd at and still 1500 or so from redline. i here fourth goes to 210 or 215. not bad for car built in 1986.

1st - est. 50
2nd - 90-95
3rd - 130ish
4th - 165
5th - 180 i suppose.... no where else to go.

ra23 1977 18rg n/a 2.0L TWIN 48 webber carbs only, 200km on a full tank of fuel.
1st=55-65kph
2nd=95-105kph
3rd=160-170kph
4th=220kph+ OFF SPEEDO 6800rpm easy not even hitting the rev limmit one gear to go.
5th=250kph

185 in the Corona in fifth at about 4300-4500rpm. redline at 5800rpm so if done will strecth to 230-240, will try one day just need road long enough. Doesn't vibrate at all even at 180 just got alignment done so that prob why.

my 91 1jz Soarer (auto), FMIC, pod/slick looking intake pipe, full off dump exhaust and 1 bar boost =
(photoshoped)
too bad its limited at 180km/h  , I got it there once at 3am , it got there pretty easily. Without the limiter it might reach 260? anyone know?

yea thats actually belivable the guy that started this topic said he pulled 100 in 2nd in a 4ac with 4 ppl i dont think 1 could. Ive pulled 65 in 2nd in a 4ac and im on my Ls it was reaving hard but rekon it still had a little more.

The crown was almost redlining (5950, 6000 is max) at 201 kmhr (125mph) off the end of the strip in 3rd gear-so if I had a long enough bit of road and larger testicles it would probably go over 250km/hr in 4th (OD-it's a 4spd supra auto). Although thats not something I'm likely to be attempting......

RAV4 with stock 3S-FE (96kw) engine and standard AWD box (4.933:1 FD/r)...
1st - ~55km
2nd - ~95km
3rd - ~130km
4th - ~170km
5th - ~190 I guess - stock speed limiter was on 188km/h apparently
Done this chasing a supercharged Merc down Foreshore Rd outside of Botany. Kept with him until 3rd gear when he put his foot to the floor.
With the 3S-GTE in, I'm not sure what it can do yet, as I'm missing a tacho. And also I'm missing a tunable ECU, so I don't wanna go pushing it too hard. It can get up to 16Psi without a worry, which leaves me wondering when the wastegate will open!

When I was rallying I got my car up to 195kph on a stage called the gun-barrel. Dead straight gravel road with small crests and dips and after 2 km there was a turn hard left. Co driver got off the notes , my balls shrank  , and I backed off.

3rd - 120k
4th - not really sure.. 160k?
5th - 200k - down a really big hill!!

It did 90 in second, but it did NOT like it.. but by that point i kinda figured what the hell - its already screwed so might as well milk it for all its worth before downgrading to the corona.
Has anyone got any ideas what would be the best value for money out of the st162, ae92sx and a 1g conversion(st141)? though i dont think the 1g conersion would be that great.. because it will still handle like a boat til i pump fat cash into it..
sorry if it's a bit off topic!!

Current car, TA46 Celica with 13T-U (Yeah, unmodified.)
~45 in 1st,
70 in 2nd,
90 in 3rd
120 in 4th (early shift, lack of power and "wheeze")
140 in 5th
(Wind resistance and lack of power stops acceleration at roughly 4,000 RPM in 5th.)
Previous car, RA40 Celica with 18RC and 3spd auto
(slightly larger carb I was told -- don't really know, but only mod was a proper cold-air shunt)
60 in 1st,
100 in 2nd,
165 in 3rd and screaming at 7,000 RPM.
I find it embarrassing that the auto was faster than the manual.
But then again, my TA46 is sporting a single, crappy Aisin carb and pushrods! I need a 3TGEU, even if they don't exist.

73 celica with 3tgteu,pretty much stock,got it off the clock 120mph and well past the last notches on the thing and it wanted more,ive got a 280km VDO speedo now so it will be interesting too see what I can get out of it..but to be honest I wont do it on the street as I have just come off 3 years and dont need another stint

I recently hit 195km/h in my Dads Accord Euro.
But i should've kept going, it sorta died a little bit when i changed into sixth a little early.
I'm still yet to hit 200+. Oh well next time.
Best i have done in the 4AC 86 is 160km/h. hahah. I'm sure it could strech a wee bit more.

Ive had my ae82 4ac over 180, but that was downhill.
on a flat road the best i managed was 165/7 i held it there for aaages but it just wouldnt go anymore

W57 and 3.9:1 diff, the RA60 pulled 105kph...mind you, at 6500rpm...with a 5500rpm redline.

70mph in first and 110mph in second. Gotta love two speeds
My car the crown with a bog stock 4M 100mph down the hill at moony moony
With the 7M off the 120mph dial with more to go I chickend out. Didn't have good suspension then want to get it back round to zero

on a private road of course...
me and a friend timed 0-160km/h in the 20v sprinter
1st 0-70 @8200rpm 5 seconds
2nd -120 @7900rpm 10 seconds
3rd -160 @7000rpm 18 seconds
then clock only goes to 180 so stopped...
rev limiter set to 8650rpm...

1992 VP Commodore v6 auto: 220kph _ way too floaty so backed off.
1976 RA23 Celica - 18rg 5 speed....230+ speedo stops at 220..was well well past - and still climbing - I backed off to corner...
2003 Corolla Ascent Hatch - 5 speed. 180. Hits rev + speed limiter and runs out of legs. <- stupid bastard rev limiter GRRR spoil my fun - right as the engine produces peak power.

Are you sure on that figure? Still tempted to take my 'rolla on a late night F6 run. Or Eastern Creek
According to my experience 5th gear = 70kph @ 2000rpm, 100kph @ 3,000rpm & so on, giving you a theoretical top speed of 205kph @ 6,500rpm before hitting the rev limiter!!!
Had an '02 Ascent hatch past 200 on the speedo (in the NT on an open road w/no speed limits) was running out of straight road so I had to back off. Anyway i've heard they disable the speed limiter after ~ 30,000k's or so but i'm still doubting whether this is true, although the car I had was 50,000k's plus...

took the corolla to 210 and still had love to give...was just under 6000rpm too so had a fair bit more to wind out before rev limiter.
I had to slow down due to end of road - rapidly approaching
and yes *THIS WAS DONE on PRIVATE property*

MA70 with 1UZ-FE (7,300 revlimted) R154 and long diff
1st 60kms/hr
2nd 117kms/hr (bouncing off the limiter at the end of the 1/8th mile track)
3rd 155kms/hr
4th 195kms/hr
5th ? guestimate around 230-240
Sounds sooo nice up in those high revs too

3rd Have you guys heard about the skyline on the news a couple of weeks ago that hit a small dip while going at high speed? he went airborn and lost control when he landed and its sad to say that he lost everything even his life.
