is this true or false as ive an associate whos looking at purchasing me a new mobile while on holidays in asia considering we are several releases behind them

ps if this is in the wrong section can the moderators please locate it to the rigth one as im not sure which is best suited to this type of question

I definitely think that tech and conversion is not the place - I suggest the outhouse.

Maybe could be interfaced with the Toyota JZ series engine management!

the only internation restriction on phones are what bandwidth they use. like the 800, 900 1800 1900mhz whatever.
my mate went to japan with his 3210 (ancient phone) and it worked over there. there is no region lock like dvds. and my sister recently went to england and her panasonic phone (gd68) worked over there, and here.

Yeah most of the "cheap" ebay phones are from overseas, they work fine.

I am currently using an NEC n22i/8000 which is not meant to be in oz, but works fine. Its funky because nobody knows what it is, has some unique things but downside is finding chargers/cables/batteries from overseas.

If the phone is a "tri band" one like most new hi-tech phones are they should work anywhere! my panasonic GD88 works anywhere!
