Im just wondering if anyone has tried fitting celica struts into their corolla?
if you have a look at the link below, it says to use 76-79 celica struts, would that make them ra28? ra40?
are all the ra series struts the same?

I eckon that you could use any RA28-49 strurr as I reckon that the springs are the same. Lovells list the same spring for teh ra29 and ra40 and even the Xt130.

the struts are probably similar in that case, although the spring is not so important, when im really only interested in the lenght of the struts themselves, aswell as the lower bolt pattern etc.
thanks

no shit!, care to share some more info?
what model cressida l/c arms?
which steering arms did you use?
did the original sway bar still fit ok?
why did you fit the cressida l/c arms?
to fix camber probs?
to match up the strut/ l/c arm bolt pattern ?
thanks

lots of info on base patterns and ball joints
http://www.arfabuck.orcon.net.nz/struts.html
to put different struts in a ke20 you're going to need different control arms and different steering arms, which will make your steering slower as there's not much out there shorter than a ke20 steering arm
why do you want bigger struts? you can change stud pattern with ke30 hubs, and shortened ke30 axles in the rear. you can put camira brakes on with minimal fuss (info on oldcorollas yahoo group), you could probably fit ae86 rotors and calipers too. custom springs aren't expensive and you can get decent dampers to suit ke20/30/55/70, you could even do a weld-over coilover kit if you wanted
just about the only thing really wrong with ke20 struts is the small stub axle, so if you thrash the shit out of it (such as in rob dixon's REDWRF rally car) you'll be lunching stub axles fairly often
