It shold be interesting to see what your car will do on a full 1/4. I think it spun the wheels all the way through 1st and 2nd down the 1/8th. At least by 3rd gear you should have some traction.
Thats the day before I go OS, so I don't think I will be there. All the best though, let us know what your best is.

mine will still be in the paint shop...
But my missus is thinking bout making her racing debut....
Steve, you had better out run her in her rodeo or you will never live it down!!!!!
Should be interesting to see what the tow car will do.... if it can get traction in 1st, 2nd or 3rd..... Might fit my slicks on it to give her a fighting chance.
I'll be there anyway... cheering you on steve...

kewl thanx am looking on eBay now 
regarding tyres.. what shall I do?
I have my 205/50/15 Silverstones on their atm, which would provide the best grip, but at $$$ I suspect
AND
i have my 195/60/14 stock smokos with heaps of grip on them also, would they suffice? would it really be that much of a problem? or should I try and get some 2nd hand nice drag tyres on the 14z?

i bought my helmet brand new for 60 though it is strongly reconmended that you purchase a high quality helmet normally 1 to 3 hundred dollars...

& when does it start?
I should be really stupid & fit my rally tyres (they're stickier than my road tyres)
Not that 50kW at the wheels is going to cause traction issues
I'll also have to remove my clutch pedal extension
