4AGTE exhaust

I am about to have my exhaust installed for my 4AGTE but I need to get peoples experience / ideas on which size exhaust to get. I have seen some setups on 1600 tubrocharged cars which have 2.5" systems and they run quite well but also some have 3" systems. Is there any benefit in having 3" as this about $180 more expensive.
Does having a 3" system seem overkill as 2 litre and 3 litre turbo systems use these?

high boost - 3"
lower boost - 2.5"
the 2.75" piping cost too much as it is an uncommon size. 3" will give you more to play with an the future.
i am by no means an expert on the 4 age engine, but im running 3.5" on my rex
my $0.02

OK,
I have a 2.5" press bent exhaust on my turbo sprinter, which means that it narrows down to about 2" going over the diff. This restriction causes boost to come in at 4000 rpm, peak at about 6500 rpm, then die off at higher revs.
So, I'm currently saving for a 3" mandrel system, which will hopefully bring boost in earlier and hold it strong all the way to 7000-7500 rpm, and make more power, too. Sounds worth it to me!
The only challenge is to make sure it ain't loud as hell.

I made a 3inch one for my gte but then again im going for a fair bit of power. I hope the muffler i had made will be enough to keep the noise down
Most people i've talked to who build them go for a 2.5 inch.
