Cool Hope u guys dont mind me highjacking your forums from the UK, in an endless search for boost.

I have a good general automotive knowledge, but when it comes to boost - I'm new. But, as a ex - RAF mechanic, i can do anything i put my mind to if i have the info or the cash to pay someone todo it.

The gen 4 celica is getting pretty thin on the ground in the UK due to rust. I however have a brilliant convertible, but with the 3sge.

Im getting a 10lb nitrous works kit fitted at the end of this month, the next ting i want to do is either turbo or supercharger.

Which would be easiest? and which would be the best for increase.

this will be the begininning of a lot of questions which i suspose you have heard before, thing is - not much help in the UK for my old red.

heres a couple of pics.

any advice is appreciated

Carlosfandango,
Nice car, the convertible ST162. Easiest power-up engine change is to fit the Gen 1 3S-GTE motor from a ST165 GT4, which you guys got over there is the UK from 1988 to 1989.
End of story !
Mitch.

Just bolt a gen 2 or 3 3SGTE in there...
these engines come from the ST185 or ST205 gtfours and will give you much more potential for "boost" than the stocker 3SGE...

if you buy a whole front cut you'll also get many bolt on upgrade parts (e.g. brakes)
