Im in Melbourne, and wanna lower my 2000 Hilux.
To have the rear leafs retempered, I was quoted about 450.

Is that ok or am I bein ripped off? Anyone know a decent place in Melbourne to have this done?

I dont know of any places in Melbourne to get it done but 450 sounds way too much. Here in WA, WA suspensions only want around 250 to reset the rear springs, but you must also find out if that includes shocks as the travel on your shocks will be altered and you may find that you need shorter travel shocks as the old ones may be too long depending on how low you want it.

with a shop press you can de arch em pretty quick

i put more arch in my sagged out 4x's leafs that way

just bend em a little every couple inches

not too much pressure or they kink
