Any help appreciated. My reno spare vehicle has its steering column locked and whatever I do with they key and wheel is useless.

To unlock the steering you'll have to remove the barrel with the key (email me for details), or drill it out, then remove the column shrouds. Following that you'll need to remove the two sheer bolts holding the lock onto the column - a cold chisel is your friend here.
