My first car was an ae82 seca with a huge and noisy pipe, to learn on, shared with my 2 sisters, then a free 1970 XC falcon 500(Big Bertha), spent 1700 buks getting it roadworthy but to this day have never registered it or taken it for a spin!and now I have a 1983 Sprinter which I plan to keep for the rest of my driving days!

My first was an 85 Subaru sedan
Convert to full time 4wd & rear discs (& that was before I picked it up!)
About 3 weeks after buying decided to clean the boot out & after stripping out the trim, found a weld line clean down each side panel & across the boot floor!
The whole back of the car behind the rear window was from another.
Needless to say it didn't get treated real well after that, but still lasted 2 1/2 years.
It just took 2nd place for longest ownership now the Caldina has passed it.
It was the car I've owned that wasn't a wagon or turbo'd

If you forget about the countless amount of paddock bombs i had before i got my licence... (626 sedan, HJ wagon, XD wagon, ke11...etc)
My first car i bought as a paddock bomb for 50$ and then my old man told me to fix it up for my first car
Needless to say, best thing i ever did, resprayed it fixed everything like new (respray + rwc + insurance + original purchase of the car ended up being about 1500$)
Got 2 years and 40k kms out of it thrashing the shit outa it, in the end i went on a trip to canbera, on the way home the exhast fell off before bega, drove the rest of the way with no exhaust
<-- Replaced her with the MR2 to the left, still got it, its still going, just doing what i bought it for originally, padock bomb duties

My first car was a 1968 toyota landcruiser i got it free off my old man with a fucked motor when i was 14. i learnt 2 drive in it around the paddocks. i put a red holden 253 V8 that i made from parts. i worked and spent my whole pay cheque on buying parts then did the conversion with the help of my old man it was insane . i lifted the axles over the spirngs and got sum old tractor tyres off this old farmer bloke and took off everything that i didn't need .I can drive anything now i learnt 2 drive in that i had it 4 like 3 years never drive it on the rd but years off knocking down trees and numerous roll overs took their toll and the alooy 3 speed gearbox literally split end to end i miss it tho the guy who has it now gave it 2 his kids after he made it in a lx torana ute. i could have gone really quick but the bonnet flew up at 60mph . It just shows how well toyotas r made i wsh they still made cars that tuff *sigh*

Car 1: 1987 Barina, 1.3L POWER! Had it around 2 1/2yrs. It actually went amazingly well, was fairly quick up hills with just one person in it... would of loved to of got some good suspension for it.
Sadly my brother rorted it while drunk and quite angry, started running from cops, was actually getting away until he went around a corner to hard and spun out into a pole. Twas the end of the barina... *cries*
Car 2: '91 VP HSV LS (V6 ) I had it for bit over 1yr, VERY reliable car. It was awesome. Did a fair few 'stoner' trips to the coast n stuff in it. Best car on the highway EVER. Sold it to my gfs dad. ^_^
Car 3: My current shex mobile VW '95 Golf VR6 (V6)... awesome power, awesome handling drives/looks like its brand new. I shall be keeping this one for a lllooooonnngg time.
Need to get my gf something cheap and reliable... might just get her an old corolla heh... ^_^

First car was 1984 Holden Camira. Sold it to the deaf guy across the street. He uses it for bottle-shop runs every so often.
Second; Cordia Turbo, melted piston.
Now; RA28.

1st car was a mini. 2nd car was a 83 laser. 3rd car was an spac yelleow XF falcon. now my current cars are a 1990 magna (shit box) and a early 72 celica . . . not even 18 yet so i see that as an accomplishment considering i paid my own way, my parent never shelled out for anything even when they offered, i just said no.

My RA60 Had it since Sep 2002.
Although the interior is better than when I got it, the exterior has seen better days.
Before I got that, I was driving an FC RX7 turbo and an EL XR8 on my L's. Awesome fun to smoke a guy at the traffic light GP with L plates .

Oh gosh, i'd rather ride the bus than get in this car again.
Get this... 1983 Ford Laser Hatchback.
Backyard sprayed babyblue, at times it doesn't start, doesn't go faster than 80km/h, brakes usually fails.
Everyday was an adventure with death. You know it's bad when your friends didn't wanna hop in and would rather take the taxi
A cruel blow to the heart it was.
Finally kicked it a couple of times before my family sold it for 50 bucks.
Now let's never speak of this again *continues with ironing*

my first car was a 2 lt escort with a bit of work (cammed, low ratio diff, twin webbers, extractors and zorst, head work and a SHIT LOAD of suspention work set up for track (was a weekend track car till the previous owner decided to sell it and put a mild motor in even tho the list i said above isnt mild.)
Basically has anyone here driven an escort with a bit of work in the rain with bald tyres ( i had just bought it and that was the way i drove it home.)
all i have to say is that it was a steep learning curve heheheheheheheheheheheehehe
i had already been driving xr8s all day (cos i worked at ford) and i had been driving padock bashers since i was 11 plus 4wding with parents blah blah for ages and the escort was still a handfull.
escorts handle awsome when there suspention is beefed up but no matter wot u do they are VERY tail happy in the wet.
i loved that car
then i got a silhouette skyline that was cool but too big and not that great on the handling department. it was stable at high speed just not around a corner. (i rather fly round a corner than fly down a straight)
and now im looking for an ae82 or a st162 sx depends on what i find first at the best price and condition etc.

mine was a 71 ta22 - mucho fun car - swaybars - mild motor work - a Zorst that would bark and cackle and snort thru the hills ( made all the right noises . has it since i was 16!
Recently sold it to Jezz on this list where its undergoing a second birthing as a bigger stronger Pig !
Bought mu current money syphon in 2003 - A 1990 Gt4 - now in the process of having all the driveline upgraded and rebuilt to become an AWD monster .
It returns to the road in the near future!

I used to thrash my poor mums ford laser mercilessly... that poor bucket of puss... but my first car I owned was a horrid old N12 turbo EXA. It used to backfire constantly and spit burning chunks out the exhaust between gear changes - just ask draven - I nearly hit his car with a few! It also used to melt ignition leads, blow colossal clouds of black smoke, and handle like a lead-tipped arrow. God I loved it.
Then came an r32 skyline, 2 silvia's, a 180sx, a sileighty, a silvia again, 2 180sx's, a 180sx again (a really nice one this time), an N13 EXA, an na r32 GTST skyline, a cressida, and then the supra.
My mates used to pay me out (including you drav!) - everytime I saw them they'd ask if I'd sold my car and bought another one yet

XB Falcon 500 with a 302 man that car had some rust , used to drink oil at an alarming rate 2 . Hade it for 1 1/2 years before i sold it for parts .
my tally so far is Ford = 1
Holden = 3
Toyota = 6
Mitsubishi = 1
Honda = 1
rate the honda the best quality but way over priced .
