ideas of how to transport a body with no drivetrain Wed, 30 June 2004 20:38 Go to next message
i am getting another ta22 to use as a house for my many spare parts. and as it doesnt have any drive train am not sure how to transport it. it is currently on chassis stands and we are goin to have to lift it on to a trailer.and becuase the body has no dints or rust in it i dont want to damage nethin in transport. does sum one know of nething we can put under it to stop the seams being squashed under the car or any other damage bein caused.

ideas asap please

thank you for your help

Maybe put it on some hard wood runners like 4 x2 fence rails and get it (gently) winched on to a tilt tray?..or talk to towing contractors...I have see some use a 2 axle dollys under the front(where the weight usually is) and just the usual lift set up from the rear....Good luck..

Yeah, tilt tray + winch is only option

7 other mates, a couple of lengths of 4x2, and a flat trailer, done it many times before with cars much heavier than a Celica!
