why on EARTH would you bother when there is a factory supercharged 4a?  and before anyone says they are more powerful whatever, do they come with a different bottom end? no. sounds like a waste of time to me.

perhaps some people find it easier to buy\bolt on a kit than changing a complete engine
perhaps not the best way, but probably easier than an engine conversion
BUT
i woudlnt really know as i've never done either....yet

do you mean a supercharger kit for a 4agze? They make one of those i'm almost certain. I dont think they would bother for a 4age.
A good importer should have a jap HKS catalogue at hand. I'm certain I have seen it in there...or maybe it was cam gears...?

guys,
your missing the question. i asked what price were they when they were brand new.
i've found one and im trying to compare it to the price it was brand new so i can decide if its a good deal.

Dunno what price they were when new, but apparently they were discontinued in the 1980s!
I have managed to scrounge up just about all the parts and it's going on a new engine soon.

yeah, as far as i know, they stopped selling these in early 90's
