hi all,
i have a 4agze,converted to turbo...its running via a microtech mtx8...
it has been running fine up untill last month wen i was just driving and it kicked my computer out of memcal(memory) 1.
now wen i drive, just when accelerating just before reaching boost it cuts the engine off,it isnt the rpm cut out or boost cut...and it isnt a faukt within the computer or map sensor, ive had it all checked already...what im wondering is...could the crank angle sensor cause this or the tps ?
please get back to me if you know or have an idea,
cheers...
dave

i dont have a microtech, so know nothing of how it works.

but i would think that if the car runs bad after the microtech lost it's memory and nothing else was changed then i would be pointing at it.

the only way it will loose its memory is if someone plays with the handset and laods the other memcal,
i have never heard or seen a case where the ecu has just lost its memory,

it may be getting a lean signal from the o2 sensor which will shut down the fun. I wanna know if it has no map how does it run?

as far as i know the microtech doesnt use a o2 sensor...

only water temp, inlet air temp, map sensor, engine speed (dizzy or cas)and tps...

sounds like it may be related to MAP sensor. Does the Microtech have any switching for different boost applications (for better tuning resolution)?

10secRX7 will be the one to know the answer to this.

i have heard of one case where water got into the map sensor and caused problems like this, 90% of the other problems similer to this are caused by tuning, if it is too rich/lean it will cut out like your saying
