1G Factory IC Tubing Mon, 12 July 2004 05:30 Go to next message
Hey guys,

Surely someone has it lying around from a front-cut, I'm after the factory silicon tubing that comes off the cast IC pipes on a 1GGTE. Trying to save some money so I can get the damn thing on the road.

If anyone has some, give us a holler.

Thanks,
Nathan

Nathan,
Describe this to me mate, diameter and length ? I have some rubber tubing left over from the 1G-GTE I wrecked.
Cheers,
Mitch.

Not sure on length, it is roughly 2" ID. Its the tubing connected to the cast pipes.

i have all custom piping for a standard 1g that doesnt require the rubber pipes, but it goes to a custom intercooler.

If I can get the silicon bits from there though it's one less bend I have to get made up and I dont need connectors for hooking onto the piping for at least one bit.

Hi man, I ran into the same problem, looking for I/C hoses. My front cut was originally designated as engine only, then they decided to buy it as a front cut. Many hoses had been cut!
I went to my local International Truck dealership parts guys, and got truck radiator hoses to suit. This was about 6 years ago, I think Neoprene will be about the same price.

regards Chuck.

It cost me about $200 to get intercooler pipe made up for my 1G JCMF... 2" stainless steel mandrel bent. Add about $150 to that for GOOD hose clamps and 2" high pressure rubber hose.

It might well end up cheaper just getting it done right the first time.

It can be done! Smile

The one on the far side of the photo is going through the wheel well, right near the front, and through the bash plate. the closest one is going underneath everything, doing a few "as gradual as possible" turns, through a hole in the bash plate and up to the intercooler.

Try find a MA61 with M-TEU in it... they're rare, but they're also intercooled! Might be good for a clue on how to pipe it.
