Very impressed with a new mechanic!

I just thought I'd give a plug to a mechanic who did absolute wonders for me - for anyone out there looking for someone who does great work on modified cars. I know enough to get me by on the basics, but there are some things like fuel system modifications and tuning that I really prefer to leave to the pro's.
Anyway, his name is Mark and the workshop is MRC Performance in Castle Hill. He's only quite new, and it's just a one-man show at the moment, but he's been doing work on modified cars for around 10 years now and only just gone into business for himself. He's fully kitted out including a spanking new dyno dynamics dyno, and even has a little weather station setup to take barometric pressure, humidity, temp, etc for MORE accurate dyno readings. Yes, I know there's no such thing as a 100% accurate dyno - but it's a damn site better than what most do! <coughcroydoncough>
Well I'll keep it short. His number is 9634-5399, and if anyone wants to know what exactly he did that impressed the shit outa me I can post it up, but that'll take about a page. Otherwise all I can say is he's the best I've ever used. He's about the 10th mechanic I've been to (and I've owned about 13 modified cars in the last few years), and I'm sticking with him from now on.

Hi,
I gave him a call to check out what he does. He mainly runs a dyno and gets you print-outs on your car. He doesn't actually do mechanical work, but his system is set-up to enable you to see how your engine performs on the dyno.
This includes areas where the engine is lacking or needs work - such as carbie tuning, exhausts, running rich or lean, etc. From these results you'd go home and fix stuff yourself and retry or go to a specialised mechanic (for example, a carbie specialist if the dyno says your mixture is stuffed and there's an issue with your carbies). Then I guess you go back again and run the dyno on it and see what needs to be done next.
You gotta book and the dyno is $77. Not as cheap as a Toymods dyno day, but hey, you're also paying for this dudes expertise to analyse the results and make recommendations.

Nah, different dude.... He's prolly late 20's/early 30's (?)
Mark's a champion and is VERY professional from what I have seen. My car was tuned on his dyno by Dale (10secrx7) and they got 95kw atw (stock 20V). The next day when I went to pick my car up, I had a look and chat about an R32 GTR that Mark had run up on the dyno the night before to see what it was putting out. Well, by the time I got there the next day, Mark had basically got 50 more horsepower atw out of it and that was running 5 psi LESS than previously! And there was still more in it.....
I recommend him to anyone!

Ah... If they guy doesn't do mechanical work, just dyno testing, then I have a guy thats located in North Parramatta that is excellent! He has done work on all my friends and family cars inc everything from a turbo silvia, stock nova and a modified rolla and always does great work, very helpful and professional! Prices are pretty good as well. He is a modified car owner as well, so knows what he is on about.
His name is Tony and can be found at MY-T Automotive. You can reach him on 98909351 Mon-Sat, you can also go straight to his mobile on 0425340011.
Hope this helps you guys out.

Mark definitely does mechanical work. He's doing it for me right now! And there are two engines he has that he's building up in his shop, plus he's fitting a turbo and a supercharger kit to a couple of cars there as well! What he doesn't like doing is the bog booring stuff like oil changes and timing belts and the like.
