Nope, that model had the new 4.6l engine and the up-spec models had the DOHC 4.6l V8.

Dude, not denying they can't make power, but any power out of them is a triumph of engineering over design, and attributable to their size.

but, whats so bad about their design? They are pushrod..big deal?

Ok ohc is a better design i admit, but does it really matter if you're getting the same performance and reliability?

No Blake, engine design hasn't moved forward in the last 40 years. 302's are still all good.

cos i felt like doing a conversion that no other tom dick and harry have already done, with hoopefully the same, or better outcome.

Just because i could i did the v8 conversion...if i was "normal" i wouldve gone a 7mgte or a 2jzgte and played with it, but im not interested.
