Yep, just look up the auto spares/parts section and start phoning for prices. Get a quote for a genuine and a 3rd party one. Then when you buy the 3rd party one you can brag how many hundreds of $$$ cheaper it was. Smile

Just like when we were looking for subaru pumps. Genuine was over $800. 3rd party was just over $200.

Are you talking new or second hand? Either way, ring around and ask for a JE? Camira pump. It's the same pump as the VL, but it'll be cheaper.

Sorry... its just waaay too often poeple come asking in forums without looking for themselves first.
It just plain lazy.

After reading various forums for years, these kinds of questions do really get on my nerves.

Don't worry Les. He's probably too fed up like me with the spoonfeeders over on the ocau forums. *plays worlds smallest violin* Laughing

Anyways, yea, that's all we did when we were looking for a pump. Just check out places local to you or however far you want to travel in the phone book and get prices is what I meant. The other blokes here have given you some price idea too, so you should be good to go.

As i said in an eariler thread!! $180 brand new bosch pump and pre filter, from petroject. (I think petroject is australia wide)

Repco want $220+

IF YOU ARE PLANING FUTURE MODS!!

Get a bosch motorsport for $320. Flows enough for 600FWHP.

Yeah wreckers are generally the ones who don't realise they're the same.

Some will have them sitting there on a shelf, but others will be like Pick n Payless.
