for a friends car:

need to check the temp sensor is working properly.
guage always shows a low temp (it barely moves) , wanted to check the resistance v's temp.

note there are two temp sensors on these motors, the gregories only has info for the ecu temp sensor not the one for the guage.

if anyone can help that would be cool.

There are usually 2 sensors, one for the ecu, one for the guage.

The guage one is usually a single wire

yeah its the single wire sensor...

what I really needed was a chart showing resistance v's temp..

those diagrams were good but not what I needed, thanx for trying tho.

You'll have to try a full repair manual

Visit the local library

or meausre it at stone cold, then light a match under it (remove it first) and see if the resistance changes
