Full suspension setup for TA23, RA23 or RA28 Mon, 23 September 2002 16:46 Go to next message
Gday all,

I'm selling a full suspension setup for the above mentioned cars. It was going on my car, but the project has come to a halt so it must go. All parts are still in boxes etc, never been used.

Koni Adjustable shocks all round
King Springs - 1.5" Drop
Whiteline/Selby Adjustable Rear Sway bar
Whiteline/Selby Adjustable Front Sway bar
Super Pro Poly Bushes throughout
Whiteline adjustable pan hard rod
Kmac adjustable strut tops

All this stuff set me back $2010 retail. I am now taking offers. So put your bid in. It must go very soon. It has to be sold by the end of the week!

Hi Kangz, is all this stuff still in Perth? Would you take $200 for the strut-tops? - I can arrange payment immediately. Cheers, Chris.

OK,

Seems everyone wants everything split up. Here's the deal. Everything is in Perth. Most of the stuff will cost very little to ship to the eastern states. Buyer pays postage, so take that in to consideration when you offer.

These things cost me approx, I pay wholesale btw:

  • Koni Adjustable shocks all round ~ a little under $900

  • King Springs - 1.5" Drop ~ $300ish

  • Whiteline/Selby Adjustable Rear Sway bar ~ somewhere under $200
  • Whiteline/Selby Adjustable Front Sway bar ~ as above
    • both swaybars come with bushes for their use.

  • Super Pro Poly Bushes throughout ~ about $200

  • Whiteline adjustable adjustable panhard rod ~ $200+
    • with bushes

  • Kmac adjustable strut tops ~ $300
    [/list]

Obviously these are not the prices I am looking for, but they are just to give you a guide as to what I paid. So make an offer!

    Chriph,
Consider them sold. Email me on pelikan@iinet.net.au to arrange delivery and what not.

Talking to Whiteline they mentioned Konis for around $800. Would these be different ones, would yours have more adjustment or something?

I'm having enough trouble stretching to 600 let alone 700.....

Whiteline's Konis are yellows all around. I have Reds up front and Yellows in the rear (reds are the pricey ones). I discussed this at length with a race team over here that races TA22's and they believe the extra softness in the rear helps to correct the snap oversteer in the car. Glen uses rubber bushes instead of Poly ones to enable this effect, I feel it is better to get it through the shocks.

I'll meet you half way at $650.

I always thought the red ones were a more comfort shock and the yellow were a sports shock, & all the info I can find on the net inducates such, are you sure you don't have it the other way round?
http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/koni/specialvss port.htm

If so, how's COD?

BTW, I don't suppose you have a splash guard for a TA-23 lying around do you? (the vented plate that bolts between the crossmember & the front chassis rail)
