Nah not sold yet. wasn't really ready.. before it was more of Expressions of interest. Now its actually for sale.

Tell your friend to email me with what he is after, may be able to come to a compromise ie Stock front seats, no headunit. But tell him to email me and we can discuss.

Cheers
Denis

I can't believe it's not sold either. Must be because it's not a hatchback? I am so tempted to make an offer but I am still hunting down a hatch unfortuntely Sad And if I DID have this car there is still no way I'd take it to Wakefield on an open track day! Fucking the most disorganised 15 cars on track at the same time chaos I've ever seen on a track. Ridiculous!!!

For 9k you could buy this car minus front seats, stereo, wheels, strut brace. You will have to supply bricks and crates hahahaha. (just jokes).

Unfortunately 9k is below my limit. But thanks for the offer.

Would people be willing to buy this car cheaper without some of the stuff in it? Would this be more approachable or reachable for some??

ie.

No strut brace
No bride seats
No harness
No brake stopper
No stereo

For say $10,000(No offers below this) As i have found most people can not afford to pay for the little extras.

Surprising that this car hasnt been sold yet!

This is a GREAT AE86. With all the good parts. Would cost a lot more to build a Aus AE86 to these specs.

Wonder where all the ppl looking for JDM AE86's have disappeared to! Rolling Eyes

Good luck with the sale. You will miss it.

no not all cheapskates.. it is just that the main reason the AE-86 is such a great car is it's price/performance.. then along comes initialD and the price goes thru the roof.

AE86 owners are either cheapskates (looks stock but engine conversion) or takumi wannabe's (panda with 4A-C)

Also doesn't help with a fiance who demands 100% of all your damn time so when someone wants to see it. Its not near me AT ALL!! shop-a-holics dammit.. hehehe.

As has been mentioned, people complain that a car asking 5k thats well worth it is too much.

An 86 in the higher end of the market 10k isnt going to attract many people besides real enthusiast who appreciate the car. HGive it time and someone will offer you what your after as it is an awesome car.

Good LUck and dont sell yourself short of the mark..

OK I am going to be the first serious bidder on this car then.

I just sold my Honda Civic (that I only bought 2 months ago! lol) it was fun but I wasn't in love with the thing.

I miss my AE86 but I know how much cash is involved in restoring one to almost showroom condition (I AM DAMN FUSSY). The pics of this car are small but already I can see how worn out the car is (in comparisson to my Honda Civic for example).

I would need to do a complete re-trim, get the dash and all door professionally painted black, body kit, new wheels, tyres and a quality bare metal re-spray as I will not stand for even the smallest bit of rust.

That work alone will set me back $10k+ EASY. So, having said all that I'll start with a very serious bid of $7k.

Alright. Let the bidding begin!

Thanks for the offer.

unfortunately $7k is alot less then what a car like this is worth.

Bu thanks for the offer anyhow. But unfortunately i will have to decline.

Good luck with finding yourself a Ae86.

I think im gonna do that now.

One thing i would like to say.

(previous statement retracted)

If you want to make changes to a vehicle you want to purchase. Don't expect the seller to drop the price because it is the wrong color.

If you know how much a car like this is worth. Then put up the money that will have it sold.

Keep the offers coming. $7k is a little low.

How about i say $10k+ so atleast people know what to expect.

Cheers
Denis

I suppose you can't expect a modified 20yr old Toyota Corolla to sell like hotcakes at these prices.

It's been a while since I've dropped by this site and I'm not surprised to see that all the 86's for sale over the $5k mark are still here.

I just wanted to drop by and say that I am still on the hunt for a daily driver, so, free bump and also my offer of $7k still stands.
