I'm using Mozilla FireFoX - and haven't seen a single popup ...
try this setting: on web features - make sure 'block popups' is ticked and you have no sites in the list below.

well you can turn javascript off in your ie settings which will stop most popups but will screw with some websites since they use javascript. Otherwise download a popup blocker from download.com or use the yahoo or msn one

Whats the bet they are explorer windows popping up? I'd say you have spyware on your computer, because seriously, Mozilla will block that shit.

Have you checked for an updated pattern file for Spybot? (I don't know how this program works, but I use Ad-Aware and that allows you to download updates before you run the scan).
I would suggest running Ad-Aware (after updating it), and quarantining every f%#cking thing it finds.
Once done, visit Windows Update and download any critical updates for your system. I had a machine at work a while ago that was getting heaps of Windows type pop-ups simply because it hadn't been patched.

nah...deleting the window OS and installing linux fixes these problems (and more) ... is also cheaper (if you were foolish enough to actually pay money for windoze)
