push the rim of the tyre in, so its thinner than teh wheel. Put something flat and thin, but strong in under the tyre rim, and then lever the tyre rim onto the outside of the wheel edge. roll the wheel over gradualy as u ease the tyre off the rim.

take your wheels into a tyre store and tell them that you
want to get your rims repainted/powdercoated,and you need
the tyres removed.at the same time get a quote and say
you'll come back to get new tyres.most shops will not
charge you a cent, and you will not have to pay a disposal
fee.i rekon more than one person has done this to me.

What do you want to take them off for? If you don't mind killing the rim, I assume you want the tyres...or are you just bored?

A tyre joint should do it for free, or very very cheaply.
