I'm keen to sell this and will basically consider any reasonable offer. Happy to sell as is with no RWC, No Rego, and no Full Tank of fuel at a reduced price.

I will be getting a RWC check in the next few days so I can say what is needed for RWC (for a Vic purchaser anyway).

This car owes me plenty but it's too small and I've made my mind up to sell. $2000 on Suspension, $1500 on Alloy wheels, $4,500 on the motor (replacing the A/C, turbo, intercooler, cam belts, etc). All up it probably owes me $18,000. You can buy this for around the cost I paid 12 months ago!

Just had the alternator replaced yesterday with a reconditioned one.

The clutch is recent, only about 25,000kms on it and it also has Bendix Ultimate brake pads all round.

It's advertised on carsales.com.au so call me on 0400 144 464 and take it off my hands.

Thanks for the offer, it is a bit less than I was after, and obviously at that price it would be less rego & rwc. I have a couple of other interested parties, both waiting for the results of the RWC (which I hope to get today). I'll keep you in mind.

Cheers

at that price yes no rwc and no rego.

i could stretch for 11k with say 3months rego (to drive it to SA)

sounding more tempting?

OK, no problems with the RWC, needs 1 front tyre but really needs 2 front tyres as the two on there are retreads chucked on after a recent blow out.

This needs to be actioned within 7 days, and the RWC is valid for 30 days from today.

I have a few verbal offers, lets talk turkey. Asking price is still $12,500 with RWC and rego (and yes free tank of fuel) Smile

Offers over $11,000 with an unregistered vehicle permit (no rego). This will allow the vehicle to be driven for 30 days without rego (no plates) for the purpose of obtaining a RWC etc. For out of state travel a Single Journey Permit can be obtained from VicRoads, a 4 day permit costs $39. This allows you to travel from one nominated address to another and then you can obtain the necessary paperwork in your state.

It's an import (as were the Australian new ones), but it has all the necessary numbers stamped on it (or it would have difficulty getting a RWC).

Over the Australian model, you get Electric SunRoof, Climate control A/C, and a better tune in the ECU.

Same car but better Smile

Does it have a compliance plate? Have you got the original import/compliance papers?

I have just spent the better part of a year with my car in reviews with Vicroads to establish it's history. It has cost me just over $1K to get the vehicle certified by a VASS signatory to prove ADR compliance. I'm lucky that I have been allowed to continue the registration at all.

I bought my car through the trading post, all the numbers checked out, it passed RWC and the car was in great condition. I had a replacement Vicroads issued VIN number stamped into the strut tower, when I questioned it I was given no indication that something was wrong.

I don't want to scare your potential buyers but this was my experience and as I been told "buyer beware".

PS. I had owned the car for one year before I was contacted by the Victorian Police and subsequently Vicroads.

It doesn't have a compliance plate (it has the VIN number on the Strut Tower). It was imported in 2000 and complied at that time. Vic Roads have inspected the vehicle and it has passed all the necessary regulatory requirements. I am unfamilar with your situation however I can assure all potential purchasers that your situation would appear unique and this car would definitely not require any further ADR compliances.

If the police were involved then perhaps it was suspected that your particular vehicle was stolen or rebirthed. You don't mention what type of car yours was or the circumstances that lead to the Police and Vicroads getting involved.

I purchased the car unregistered, had to go through the whole process including RWC and a Vic Roads inspection. There were no issues.

Car now has a RWC valid for 30 days from 13/8/04. Have replaced the front tyres with Pirelli P7000 (slightly used).

Registration expires on 5/9/04. Open to offers as is to save someone a few bucks.

You know YOU want it!! Smile

UPDATE 20 August 2004 - Deposit Taken, It looks like the car is sold. Should be finalised within the next week. Thanks to all who enquired and those who expressed their best wishes. I'll be sad to see the car go but I reckon the guy who bought it will be happy.
