"2G-GTE" HKS kit - 2.4 litre 1GGTE Tue, 15 July 2003 03:37 Go to next message
I have been chatting to the wacky guys from G3Power in Japan about their 2JZ GX70 Cressida. Anyway the other day they sent me some pics of a monster "2GGTE" they are building up.
HKS crank and Carillo rods, lo comp pistons and some Trust turbos.
I don't care much for the G series but I thought some of you guys here might like to see them. Sorry about big pics.

Nitrided stroker crank and Carillo rod (hiding top R corner)

Shiny new forgies:

Kickarse bit of exhaust manifolding:

And some polished up rocker covers to boot.

HKS Japan only list stroker kits for the 2JZ and 3S, so I guess the 1G kit has been discontinued.

When I picked up my Gen3 from SSS, they said they had recently imported one for a customer, complete engine package including piggyback ecu second hand for around $3500.

Yeah, I can get them in, roughly 2 weeks delivery time to your door from japan, prices vary on stock available through different suppliers,(HKS have stopped making them) and can be anywhere from $4,000 to $4,500.

what we are saying is in general putting the stroker kit into a 1g kinda looses the reving nature of the 1g. and doesnt serve much benifit. hell put a 1j in there. unles you have a ke30 and cant put a 1j in Smiley =
