roughly how much would it cost for a qulified mechanic to rebuild my 2tg-eu?

Too much!! i got quoted around $1500 for stock rebuild from the owner of sleeka spares here in adelaide, but those mechanics get you to put new pistons, cams etc and before you know it your up for $3000. If you had a mate who knows a bit about them pay him to do it. Parts for them aren't too rare.
