TF Magna "Grinding Sound" whilst cornering?!?! Sun, 15 August 2004 13:03 Go to next message
Hi Guys.. Ok i know this is not a toyota, but you have always come up with an answer for me regarding my Rolla, lets test your knowledge of Magnas Smile

A friend has TF Magna Sedan, lowered 2 inches, had a nasty run in with a kerb (All 4 wheels Smile) @60KPH,, no obvious damage, but since that day, when turning left and giving it a bit of stick it makes a weird kind of grinding sound (as if the tyre was rubbing the chassis, or alike (which it isnt) from the back RHS wheel

Now, the only thought I can come up with is the shock is FUBAR, and the tyres is "Skipping" on the road when its under heavy load..

Need your help Razz

Thanks

Well if it's hit a kerb something is obviously bent. Get under there and have a look!

Go and get a 23 point pedders safety check. Except get it from someplace more reputable than pedders!

I would think that the wheel is out of alignment or something in there has bent and rubbing against the wheel. Try get him to roll the car slowly and have a peek to see if its identifiable
