those breathers are a bad idea like that unless you like degreasing your engine bay every weekend. oil fumes just pump out and it settles on everything. this is from a friends experience on a 2TG.
get a catch can or oil air separator

From the factory there is a moulded hose connecting the PCV breather to the intake tract.

yeah i just want it to clean up the tngine bay a bit i dont like the look of the big rubber hose running from air filter to cam cover, but..oh well...

Without de-railing this thread...there are benifits of having them, they prevent oil vapour in the air going back into ur intake.
