1ggze engine question. Mon, 23 August 2004 21:59 Go to next message
Hey.

I am wondering if some one could supply me pics of the spark plug/lead set up. My engine has leads that just fit onto the top of the plugs and dont fill or seal the socket that the spark plug sits in. I also do not have the plastic cover that sits between the two cams and covers the plugs.

I am trying to weather/water proof the engine as best can be, and dont want to have the area around the plugs exposed, do the correct leads for the engine have a cup stlye plastic thing?

And where do the leads run if you have the black plastic cover on top?

Cheers

Tonka,
Sent you a PM mate.
I would look at a set of leads from a Pick a Part or similar place that have these rubber spark plug well sealing caps already on them, that fit your motor. Maybe you can cut these off, very carefully, and stretch them to fit over your plug leads and slide them into the spot you need them????
Not completely watertight but a huge step in the right direction.
Perhaps finish them off with some black silastic sealing goo???
Mitch.
