I believe it's bolt in, if you get AE101 GZE. Then u need to look at wiring it up.

Honestly, it has been covered a lot. A quick search will get you lots of info.

Also, www.rollamods.com has some good tech advice on how it's done.

The hardest thing is to find a good, low k's frontcut.

But there are always people out there willing to do the complete conversion or wiring for you... Wink

Yeah it s bolt in for the AE101, you just have to buy an AE101 front cut as you are not allowed to put an engine older than the car into your car in NSW.

Another quick question would be how much would you do yourself?
As a guestamate i'd say $1000 minimum. But really i wouldn't have a clue.

My AE92 map sensor front cut (same as the AE101 motor) cost $2200, then if you want to put it in, go for it, very easy you can use the motor/box/shafts/hubs/brakes the whole lot! you will snap your stock shafts, and kill your stock box quickly if you don't used them! then wiring depending on the guy should be around the $300-400 mark, you just have to used the exhaust manifold that came with the front cut with your car, and you should be set! don't, i repeat don't get someone to do it for you if your on a budget, this is where all the money gets spent..labour..you should be able to get out of trouble with $3500 if you put it in (thats a pretty safe target, but allow a bit more if you can for unexpected things..)

Mat

only if it's a late model AE92/101 Map sensor version, i wouldn't pay that much for the under powered A/F MR2 version or early AE92 one..

Toyospares will do a 4age for about 3500 (not including exhaust)..
that seems to be a fair go.
