need help on cyl head torquing for t series engine Thu, 26 August 2004 15:49 Go to next message
my 3rd and fourth cylinders have lost compression and i'm suspecting it's a warped head gasket. problem is i don't know the torque specs for bolting the head back when i'm done? any help would be appreciated

looking for the torque requirements for each step, how many steps and the proper pattern to bolt them in

thanks!

Simple mate, the new gasket packaging will have all the torque info you need.

regards Chuck.

The manual I have list the torque as 52.1-63.7lbs.ft
The sequence shown starts with the outer bolts and works inward with a diagonal pattern. It does not mention progressing torquing, although it probably would not hurt.
