FS: JDM TRUENO GTV [DRFT86] *SOLD* Wed, 28 July 2004 09:16 Go to next message
For Sale: 1984 JDM TRUENO GTV [DRFT86]

Modifications:

Engine

AE92 4AGE
HKS 272 Cam with Adj Cam Gears
RS*R Tuned length extractors
2.5" Exhaust extractors back - No Cat, No baffles
2x45mm Dual Solex Carbs - Note: EFI fuel pump and lines are still in the bay if you want to convert back to EFI
HKS inlet manifold

Suspension:
Cusco Coilovers - Height and damper adj

Drivetrain:
Cusco 2-way LSD
Aftermarket Racing g/box.

Interior:
Takami Black Leather Bucket Seat (Reclinable)
The interior isn't the best, but it ain't that bad either.
Momo gearknob
Aftermarket pedals

Exterior:
BB Garage front bar
TRD copy rear fibreglass wing
Panda paint
Watanabe 14" Superlights - Black

What needs to be done?:
Crack in paint near fuel filler - nothing major.
Currently has no air filter, you will need trumpets or a 'ramflo' style filter as the carbs are side draft.
Interior is a bit old, but a lil reupholstering will make it look shmick!
No Registration - I have import papers for this purpose however. This car was imported under the 15yr rule. It DOES NOT require high mount brake light, catalytic convert and all that other stuff. Only requires a child restraint, side intrusion bars and lap sash rear seatbelts.

I simply don't have the money to fix up these problems to register it as a road car. Have had to focus more on my mortgage than the car and at this moment I can't afford to get it road registered. This is a really regretful sale..

Very fun car and they're as rare as they come!
Certainly a must for a true AE86 enthusiast!! Cool

Looking for $10,000 ono *Urgent Sale*

Have extras for sale too!
[DRFT86] Personalised plates (VIC) $500.00 *Brand new*
Set of x4 near new Bridgestone tyres (98% tread)
Set of x4 5 Spoke Racing Style Lightweight rims (Black)
These rims come with tyres already on them. Tyres still very good!
+ Many more goodies..

I have pictures so just give me a holla if you want em..
I don't have anywhere to host them so cannot post em up.

For those who are interested, feel free to contact me on:
Email: brecto@bigpond.net.au
Mobile: #0433 115 874

Cheers,

BEEJ

Good luck with the sale - folks, let's remember this was the one imported by C-Red Tuning of Perth and it sold around the $14k mark then so this represents an absolute bargain!

Genuine reason for the sale and I'm sure the new owner will not be disappointed!

BUMP...

Correct, this went for $14k when it landed here initially.
I've been given all the receipts so new buyer shouldn't have anything to worry about.

hrmm it says $14k onroad..

I am pretty sure that every car bought in requires side intrusion bars, mine had them fitted (panda coupe for sale).

How will this car go with getting engineered with Carbs fitted to it? Is it possible to pass it?

I would double check about the side intrusion bars, im pretty sure it is required by ADR.

Good Luck with the sale. Very Schmick car.

---- NOTE ----

No cage in the above pics..... Is that correct?? No Cage included??

Sorry part of that was still from the old advert when I first bought it.
Apparently it's not needed in Canberra. I'll edit it now..
This shouldn't have any problems being engineered even with the carbs fitted to it.
Just make sure that everything else is roadworthy and you'll have no problems.
Correct, this doesn't come with the roll cage as the previous owner kept it.
What ever is listed above, that's what it comes with.

Cheers,
BEEJ

PS: Yes it does say $14k onroad on the C-Red link as this is how much they were asking for it when they brought it in from Japan. The previous owner was the one who paid that price approx 2 years ago. I'm asking for $10,000 ono.. I believe that it's a fair/if not bargain price for what it is.. don't you guys think so? I've had the trouble of bringing it down from Canberra and it's now here in Melb. So c'mon you AE86 enthusiasts.. where are you guys?!

Thanks for the comments everyone!

bootheman: hey justin.. trust me, i'm crying just as much as you are!
i really don't wanna sell it, but due to family reasons i am forced to sell.
i have no choice.. Crying or Very Sad

Just for those interested in it.. I'm located S/E suburbs of Melbourne.
It's certainly heartbreaking to see it here up for sale..
Hope it goes to a really good home and a owner which will look after it.
Another note, that link from C-Red, it has nothing to do with my sale.
Just a place to look at the extra pictures of this beautiful car!
So please do not refer to that link for pricing etc.
I've listed exactly what's on the car and how much I'm after in the first post.
For those that wanna ask more about the car, just give me a holla!
My details are all there.. Very Happy

People,

I am not understanding all these "I want a AE86" posts but when it comes to the crunch, no takers? There are a couple of nice examples on these forums, my coupe and this hatch, but yet no one wants to spend the dosh. We have spent the dosh and now decide to sell.

For $10k + compliance + onroads this still works out very nicely and you end up with a JDM AE86.

Just because you see a AUS AE86 with 4AGE engine conversion selling for $6k doesnt make the JDM cars any cheaper.

Come on guys. The cars for sale on these forums are awesome.

the problem is lots of people are just talkers, when it comes down to the crunch they cower in fear because its 10 grand, which imho is a bloody good price for a car of this calibre, put it this way, if i had 10 grand lieing around and was looking at getting a sprinter i wouldnt think twice about it, its not often that cars like this pop up anyway. Someone buy this car!!! preferably someone in the east suburbs so i can get a gander of it every now and then Cool

i dont mean to be rude but you need to get off your high horse dude,

yeah, there are many people out there that want ae86's but most probly cant afford to fork out $10k straight up for a car. im sick of seeing posts where people take the piss out of others because they dont have the finances to buy these awesome cars.

my 2 cents

good to see the car got sold - hopefully its gone to a good home Smile

sorry for the hijack

Not rude at all. But people shouldnt post up that they want a JDM AE86 or trueno and only have $4k to spend. They should go buy themselves an aus spec sprinter and slowly do them up.. and see that they end up spending more then they were going to initially.

You have no idea how many tyre kickers i have had who call or come look at the car. And then say "I don't have the money but i want it" Well, DON't COME LOOK AT THE FARKING CAR IF YOU DONT HAVE THE MONEY!!!!!!

Thats my 2c on this subject.

Excellent on the sale of your car. Someone will love it.. Smile

Smile

allright mate,

i can see your point. obviously you've encountered many dreamers and i understand that can be damn annoying.

i respect your opinion. but i hope you can see where im coming from. Smile

I totally agree with ya Denis.. thanks as well.

Trust me, I think I've gotten just as many tyre kickers too..
I'm glad that it's going to a good home though. Car left the other day for Perth.
Just hope the new owner loves it just as much as I did.

Hey driftae86: Don't know if he will be involved.. but I'll let him know Cool
Got some work to do on the car, but yeah I'm sure he'd love to join along.
I would if I was in Perth.. hehe
