Will happilly pay for postage on the struts (i'm assuming 'blank' means just the strut w/ spring hat, no anything else) if same as RA6x.

Not sure if I need water pump etc or other parts until my engine arrives, sorry. I'm after a front sump etc, but there are a few people who want to swap with my mid so I'll probably do that so that i'm helping someone else out.

Are you ditching your 1GGE ra40, and these are parts left over from conversion - or are you swapping the engine out for somethign else?

i dont think the RA40 struts are interchangable with RA6#.

these 1G parts are from a spare engine i have, im going to pull down the block and head for practice/interest sake. then offer any leftovers to the guy who bought my RA40 if he wants them.

thanks

Well Adam you are putting in a part that didnt come with the orginal motor. i.e same as neons, exhaust tips, auto/manual shifters etc.

So its deemed as a modification Cool

Just some food for thought on the cams.

Naturally aspirated cams as a convention have more lift and duration than an equivelant turbo cam. Hence generally make for a really nice swap. You just need to time them correctly for the application.

If you could find the cam specs for both i think you would find it a worthwhile exercise. I personally don't have the specs for any of the 1G series cams so can't help out further than that sorry.

bugman yep, ill chuck the dipstick and tube in with the sump.

next time u are on IRC we can work something out with the cams.

im not commenting on the cams cause i dont know anything further than its a possible mod on the GTE.

feel free to discuss in this thread if u like...
