springs and shocks

hey,
Does anyone know if using 1.5 inch lowered king springs with the standard shocks will damage anything? I know that the shocks wont match the spring rate, but i dont know if it will damage the springs or the car. I've heard that it wrecks the springs after time and they end up creaking. Also, is there any danger that can be hazardous using lowered springs in conjunction with standard shocks?
Thanks

There is a danger your springs won't be held captive under certain circumstances, which can cause your springs to pop out. Obviously this is less than ideal.

Springs won't be damaged
But your shocks will wear out MUCH quicker than with factory replacement springs.
Sports springs need sports shocks
