no,they fit directly to a 3sg,yes i think they also fit 1gg motors as well.

So, just to get some clarity on this, the gearbox is out of a RS200, the Beams 3S-GE version of the Altezza?
If this is a RS200 box it will fit up to a 3S.
If it's an IS200 box, off the 1G-FE, then it will fit up to the 1G series of engines and also to T series. I don't believe there is a single bell housing that will fit up to all three of those engine families though.

BUT you could easily get a 1g-fe bellhousing and whack it on it for 6 speed 1g

The bellhousing is not a separate item on these boxes. It incorporates the front casing of the gear box. You would have to find a 1G, 6 Speed gearbox and remove the front casing to swap it, which would be pretty pointless as you may as well just use the box you found and save the effort of swapping the front casing.

You could make an adapter plate, but then your input shaft would probably be so recessed from the spigot bearing and the clutch throwout lever so far from the pressure plate that you would have to make up a new flyheel as well to correct these issues.

Could you give me some info on it pls, it may be suitable for something....
I need length from engine mounting face to centre of shifter hole. Plus any pics of the shifter arrangement would be great or of the box in general. Was it from a cut, any idea of kms travelled??
Also, what side of the box is the starter and clutch slave on and is the clutch slave/fork/shifter included?

wouldnt have a clue as to how many kw it will take,but i am sure it is a fairly strong box,the motor had done about 37500kms,when i got it,so its like new.
