they're for easy access grocery locks
nah, usually used for circuit just in cast someone rear ends you, you can still drive on without the hatch bumping everywhere

probably but then you might have bolts on the outside of your hatch which would look shite.

there is not much practical room inside of the hatch to attach these latches, but i'd imagine there is not much practicality at all! cuz even on the outside, sometimes its a pain to open the hatch forgetting that they are still on. you can always try though, don't see why it won't work.

I thought those latches can/also be used for fiberglass hatches which dun accomodate for locking mechanisms. correct me if i'm wrong. drifting at 100kph+ with teh window open might bust your factory latch.

yes, that is the exact purpose of those latches.
They are also handy when someone rear ends you in mid-drift, and you can still continue without having the boot open up!

yea but make it longer next time me and a mate drove 4 hours for about two hours then went home we should make a weekend of it next time but it was heaps of fun
